Procedure for Processing Applications for Israeli Residency Visas for Minors Born In Israel with Only One Parent Registered as a Permanent Resident of Israel under Regulation 12 of the Entry into Israel Regulations 5734-1974

The Ministry of Interior's procedure for processing applications for Israeli residency for minors born outside of Israel, with only one parent who is a permanent resident of Israel. The procedure stipulates that applications can only be submitted subject to proof of "center of life" of the child and his parent in Israel for the two years prior. Additionally, the procedure states that the timeframe for processing requests is generally six months, and should it take longer, families will receive a written permit to stay in Israel on the form confirming submission of the request - by virtue of a tourist visa (B/2) or military stay permits - until a decision is made. Further, the procedure states that a child over the age of 14 will undergo a full security check.
