CC (Jerusalem) 11850/96 - Mura’ib v. The State of Israel
Claim filed by HaMoked in a case where soldiers shot a young boy, resident of Halhul, while he was herding his sheep. The boy was severely hurt in the left thigh and was evacuated to hospital by helicopter. The military made the unsubstantiated claim that the boy had participated in stone throwing. The claim attributes to the Defendant and/or its agents, the soldiers, negligence manifested in the unjustified shooting which was carried out while endangering life and while the soldiers faced no danger. The claim was settled and the State paid the Plaintiff NIS 48,000.
