Conclusions and Recommendations of the Committee against Torture : Israel. 23/11/2001.
The decision states, among else, that Israel’s policy regarding house demolishing in the Territories "may, in certain instances, amount to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment" (article 16 of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment).
