HCJ 3760/09 Mahmoud et al. v. IPS Commissioner Preliminary Response on behalf of the Respondent
Following HaMoked’s petition against the IPS’ refusal to allow a former prisoner from the West Bank to visit his brother who is imprisoned in Israel, the IPS filed a preliminary response to the court. In its response, the IPS claims that the petition must be rejected as an alternative remedy is available, in the shape of a prisoner’s petition which the petitioners are attempting to circumvent.
