HCJ 8155/06 Association for Civil Rights in Israel et al. v. IDF Commander in the Judea and Samaria Area Response on behalf of the Respondents to the Petitioners’ request for Reexamination of the Request for Interim Order
The state’s response to the organizations’ request for reexamination of their request for an interim order in the “ISA precluded” petition. The state claims, inter alia, that the procedure set a year ago following requests by the organizations is effective and serves many Palestinians. The organizations’ request for an interim order canceling the procedure would harm many Palestinians already benefitting from it. The state also claims that the only purpose of the interim order is to preserve the status quo whereas the organizations’ request is designed to change it.
