Government Resolution No. 2492 dated 28 October 2007
Government resolution concerning temporary permits for Palestinians who have been present in Jerusalem for an extended period of time without a permit. According to the resolution, the Interior Minister will no longer grant permanent status to persons who have been living in Jerusalem in this manner since 1967, and, for whatever reason, were not enumerated in the population census. It is possible to submit an application for temporary permits, accompanied by documents proving a center of life in Jerusalem since 1987. The resolution also applies to all applications for permanent status which were previously submitted and are currently being processed.
